PEOPLE RISE UP!! Protest/Vigil against POLICE: 4pm...Oct. 9th
WE will march October 9, 2009 at 4pm from the Fresno County Jail (beginning spot) to the Fresno Police Department (FPD) (ending spot--both located downtown) in protest of/response to the reoccurring abuse of power and harassment by the Fresno Police Department. (check out the attached media advisory for more details).
The march will be followed by a vigil in front of the Fresno Police Department to support the family and friends of Lonnie Graham and all victims of police brutality and harassment.
IMPORTANT: Numbers are crucial (for security reasons and power) so it's important that those of you that are willing and able to make it MAKE IT. If you are tired of POLICE doing what they want to our community STAND UP!
Berets with uniforms please WEAR THEM and those in solidarity without uniforms wear a BROWN SHIRT, Khaki pants and BROWN BANDANA or something similar. If you will be in attendance please reply.
