Waking up to the cup:
There are an estimated 68 percent of humans who wake to coffee or have a cuppa in the first waking hour of the day. Another statistic says that fifty percentages of people have a drink of coffee every day at least once. The connoisseurs, of course, are a different story altogether. These people who we can safely call coffee zombies are those that can literally have a cup of their favorite caffeine punch anytime of their waking or sleeping hours. So, when you literally shake them up in the midnight and ask them if they’d like a cup, I am so sure they will never reply in the negative!
Coffee shops are everywhere:
There are a big number of coffee shops everywhere in the country but there is always scope for so many more. The idea is not just to open a coffee shop and then retreat into the background. The idea my friend to open a coffee shop amidst all the giant companies who have been around for ages and then make the customers queue up in front of your shop rather than theirs!
That is the challenge!
How you can do that is up to your creativity. Of course, the location of your coffee shop and the luck element do play a significant role here. But more than all this, I would rate consistency of the coffee to be extremely important in running a successful business. An espresso that I had at ABC coffee shop must taste exactly like the espresso that I had yesterday at the same ABC coffee shop or its branches anywhere in the world.
You need to know everything yourself:
Equip yourself with all in the field that you need to know. You must know what the difference between a mocha and a latte and an espresso is. You need to look for a barista training course not just for your employees but before everyone for yourself!
The pricing of course:
Then there is the pricing of the cup. You need to cover your costs and then make a profit and still leave enough gaps to convince the customer that the coffee in your shop is value for money. For this, you can buy coffee in bulk so you get a price advantage from your dealer. Believe me; it makes a lot of difference. Every dollar counts!
